All orders on fire pit glass or fireplace glass must be
10 lbs or higher.
Black fire pit glass is especially popular with propane-fueled fire pits, due to propane's tendency to create soot as a byproduct when used as fueled for an outdoor gas fire pit. Black fire pit glass not only makes the soot unnoticeable, it creates a wonderfully modern effect even when your unit is not in use.
Choose from three different sizes for a variety of looks and
textures.
To determine the amount of glass you need, first decide what look
you'd like in the finished product. A general guideline for
filling fire pits adequately is to create a thickness of about
1.5". The following guidelines are approximations:
-
For 18" fire ring- 30 lbs. of glass
-
For 24" fire ring- 50 lbs. of glass
-
For 30" fire ring- 70 lbs. of glass
-
For 36" fire ring- 90 lbs. of glass
The thicker you apply glass, the more striking the effect will be. You could also fill the cavity of your outdoor gas fire pit first with natural lava rock or pea gravel, using fire glass as a topping to create a lovely effect. Use additional glass to create a peaked effect.
Glass orders require a minimum quantity of 10 pounds.
