Gas Lights & Torches -
New Installation
Note: Our Technicians do not bore under driveways. Consider the path from the gas source to lamp location when determining approximate footage. Some builders will place a conduit or sleeve in/under the driveway during construction to assist in placement of various lines and cables. If a driveway will be crossed, check to see if yours has a conduit by exposing to the bottom of surface on all sides. Your order will need to be processed for location of utilities and buried cables prior to scheduling an installation date. This is a free service and we will handle everything.
Gas Lights & Torches -
Replacement Installation
Lamp Head Only Replacement: Post is not removed. Existing lamp head may have deteriorated, been damaged, or maybe you're just ready for a new look. Existing post and gas line is not damaged or bent, and will be reused. Existing post will not be completely removed from the ground. If you are changing the location of a lamp it is considered a new install due to gas line needing to be re-run to the new location. Lamp Post and/or Total Replacement: Post is removed from the ground. Existing post may have rusted out and fallen over, or it may have been backed into by a vehicle, the lamp head may or may not be damaged, or maybe you're just ready for a new look with a new post. Note: It is considered a Post/Total Replacement under any circumstance when the post is removed from the groundIt is possible to reuse your lamp head if it is not damaged or is repairable and your order does not have to contain a lamp head. Lamp will be placed in the exact previous location to be considered a replacement. If you are changing the location of a lamp it is considered a new install due to gas line needing to be re-run to the new location.
Space Heaters -
New Installation
If home is on a slab (no basement or crawl space), and no attic is over room where unit is to be placed, then it must be installed on an exterior wall (or interior wall with an existing 1/2" gas line). Heater may be wall or floor-mount model. Code requires a clearance of at least 3 feet above and in front of heater, and 13" on either side of heater location. GA Code requires vent free space heaters for bedroom application to be a maximum of 10,000 BTUs. We have available the SunStar EN10 Model, which has 9,500 BTUs. If two heaters are installed at the same location with full installation, price first heater at new installation and second heater at replacement installation.
Space Heaters -
Replacement Installation
New heater is to be placed in the exact same location as previous unit. Includes up to five feet of fuel line. If you are changing the location of a heater it is considered a new install due to gas line needing to be re-run to the new location. Heater may be wall or floor mount model. Code requires a clearance of at least 3 feet above and in front of heater, and 13" on either side of heater location. GA Code requires vent free space heaters for bedroom application to be a maximum of 10,000 BTUs. We have available the SunStar EN10 Model, which has 9,500 BTUs.
Gas Logs -
New Installation
It is common for a gas line to be in the fireplace yet a new line is still needed. The gas line most often installed for real wood igniting is a 1/4" line. A 1/2" line is required to operate gas logs. It is considered a new install if any gas line is required. New gas log installation requires fireplace to be on an exterior wall or an interior wall with an attic overhead, basement or crawlspace, or existing 1/2" gas source. If special conditions exist it is recommended you obtain a bid first. We will schedule a time to see the job and determine how much it will cost. Bid fees are applied 100% toward your order.
Gas Logs -
Replacement Installation
You are currently burning vented or vent-free gas logs or you know your gas line is 1/2" pipe and you do not have a burner or grate embedded into the cement or masonry firebox floor. You may have adequate gas supply directly in the fireplace and yet it is still considered a new install. If you have a burner or grate embedded into the fireplace, it is considered a new install due to the extra work required.
Complete Fireplace Systems If home is on a slab (no basement or crawl space) and no attic is over the room where unit is to be placed, then it must be installed on an exterior wall (or interior wall with an existing 1/2" gas line). GA Code restricts vent free BTUs in bedroom usage. If unit is to be placed in a bedroom please call for a quote on our bedroom models. Our technicians will not install outside of code restrictions.
A.O. Smith Water Heaters Includes running gas lines and removing your old water heater during replacement. If you have a water heater emergency during our regular business hours, we guarantee same day service if notified by 2:00 p.m. Weekend emergencies are scheduled the following Monday. The installation price does not include the thermal expansion tank system (required by new code regulations), drain pan, or water heater stand. See below for information on these items.
Thermal Expansion Tank & Installation
Code restrictions require the addition of a thermal expansion tank at the time of water heater replacement. When cold water is heated, the water expands. This thermal expansion occurs in all systems that have tank-type water heaters. Thermal expansion can cause too much water pressure and cause expensive problems from water flowing back into the main water supply to the house. The reason an expansion tank is required is to prevent the damage and eliminate these problems, by giving water a place to go when thermal expansion occurs.

Drain Pan + Relief Line & Installation
If your water heater is currently located on a floor above additional living space and not in a drain pan, regardless of whether that living space is part of your home or that of someone else's (i.e., townhouses, condominiums, apartments), then you must have one installed, including the addition of a relief line. The relief line must run to the outside of the building where, in the case of leakage, the water will automatically drain outside instead of onto the floor.
Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters Because tankless water heater installations vary greatly based on many location-specific factors, our technicians must visit the site and give a bid. Please call us  at 770-482-1123 to schedule. A bid fee will apply.
